How to Download, Format, and Use USGS Base Spatial Data in a GIS

At the request of several data users, I have posted my guidelines on how to
download, format, and use USGS Base Spatial Data in a GIS, with emphasis on
ESRI GIS software, on the "GIS Guidelines" link on:
http://rockyweb.cr.usgs.gov/outreach/

The full URL is:

http://rockyweb.cr.usgs.gov/outreach/gisguidelines.html

These 130 slides do not cover all spatial data types, and may contain
unintentional errors, but are provided as an aid in sorting through the
" data formats and locations" maze.
